BAROGRAPH
An antique barograph, date of make unknown. This model has a plate on front stating Hicks of London. This instrument is rarer than most of this type as it registers temperature as well as barometric pressure
It features a seven-section vacuum chamber with brass mechanism and rotating chart-drum. The drum is driven by it's original clockwork mechanism with platform escapement, in perfect working order The case is in nicely polished light oak,. The panes are thick, heavy bevelled glass, each in perfect condition. There is a slide-out double sectioned drawer to the base for spare barograph papers(there is a new set of papers included). It retains it's original little brass holder and violet ink bottle, which is still stoppered and still contains ink again, these are so often missing. I have seen this type in antique shops in not such good condition for close to £1000
CONDITION: It is excellent condition
SIZE: It measures 14 inches in length, 8.5 inches wide and 8.25 inches high.
